Out of work or out of bed
Those who have a job in what is the worst employment market since the end of World War II can certainly count themselves lucky. But they are also counting a lot of sheep on sleepless nights as fears about the future grow.
The stress is worse for those without a job as the dismal economy makes it difficult to predict how long it will be before they see a steady stream of income again, according to more than 250 responses from MarketWatch community to a story on job fears.
Not surprisingly, there was plenty of advice to workers, companies and the government about what steps can be taken to soften, if not solve, this crisis.
